Most trivia rewards you for knowing the famous answer. Mr. Irrelevant flips that around. Anyone can name Tom Brady as a Patriots quarterback; naming Matt Cassel or Brian Hoyer is what gets you to the end zone. Every day brings 7 new questions across the NFL and college football, from rosters and the draft to championships, coaches, stadiums, and rivalries.
Built by a fan
Mr. Irrelevant is an independent project made by a computer science student and lifelong football fan. It was inspired by daily word games where rare answers score more, and by the idea that being a real fan means remembering the players nobody else does.
How the game picks questions
Each day mixes four NFL questions with three college football questions. Four of the seven ask for something other than a player, such as a team, a coach, a bowl game, or a penalty. A question doesn't repeat for 240 days, and the same team or school won't show up twice in one day.
